I admit that I don't know everything there is to know about beading, nobody dose. There is a lot of controversy on how and why many things come about, but the end result is a beautiful lasting piece of art. Before I encouraged you to take up beading as a hobby, I first must warn you about Bead fever. With each volume I write, I warn people how consuming this hobby is. Beading is so much fun and great therapy for stress that once you begin, it's very difficult to put down. There are so many ranges of choices in doing beadwork, not only in technique but also a wonderful selection of garments and jewelry can be done in your own choice of colors and design.

Tips from Peggy Sue

If you are ready to start your project, don't wait to read all the different techniques and try to understand each one of them. Practice makes perfect.

So choose a technique you want to use for your beadwork and begin. When you have learned that technique and have completed your project, then go on to another.

In constructing your own beadwork you will need to make choices that will work well within your own framework of ability and determination, it will require commitment and perseverance and to overcome obstacles such as, how much time is required? Can I afford the expense? Will my family go along with sharing me with a consuming hobby? Where can the materials be purchased? How to start? How to choose the best beads and order materials? Is this going to be a resourceful expenditure of my time and money? Is it practical to assume I can sell my completed product? All the information in the world will not help you if you don't have good resources. So with that being said, don't worry "Beads to Buckskins " can help you with all your needs, from supplies to instructions through E-mail with Peggy Sue or one of her Staff.
